TRAVEL TIPS
Research the hotel where you will be staying.
Do the rooms have refrigerators so you could buy and store milk for your GF-cereal? Is a microwave available? You can travel with sandwich bags, each with one serving of GF cereal. Choose a cereal that can be eaten with or without milk (such as Rice Chex, Corn Chex, or Panda Puffs). You also can bake a coffee cake in advance, cut it, and store it in a plastic container that can be put in carry-on luggage if you’re flying. If your hotel has a Continental breakfast, you can get juice and/or fruit to go with your cereal and coffee cake.
If the hotel restaurant does not have much on the menu, check out the room service menu. Sometimes there are options on the room service menu that don't appear on the regular menu and the restaurant may be willing to prepare that for you if it's not something they usually serve at that time (a dinner menu item served at lunch, for example).
